Role: Bull Escala HVX Systems Consultant

Position: (Part-Time, Remote)

Location: 225 East State Street, Trenton, NJ 08666 (Onsite only for server replacements/major issues)

Duration: Long-Term

Job Description:

The Bull Escala HVX/AIX Systems Consultant will provide expert-level support for Bull Escala systems in a dual-operating AIX environment. This role involves system administration, troubleshooting, and ensuring optimal performance while assisting in the MVC Agency Escala Replacement Project, which includes replacing 60+ Escala servers across MVC locations.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer and maintain Bull Escala HVX/AIX systems, ensuring stability and performance.
Support server replacements, upgrades, and migrations as part of MVC’s infrastructure modernization.
Provide technical expertise in Bull proprietary software, including implementation, testing, and troubleshooting.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, analyze issues, and recommend solutions.
Maintain up-to-date project documentation in SharePoint for knowledge transfer.
Offer timely reporting to internal and external stakeholders on project progress.
Be available for onsite visits if servers require replacement or critical issues arise.

Required Skills & Experience:

5+ years of hands-on experience with Bull Escala HVX/AIX systems.
10+ years of overall Systems Administration experience (AIX/Unix/Linux).
5+ years of SharePoint experience for documentation and collaboration.
Strong experience in server maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
Ability to work part-time (20-25 hrs/week) with flexibility for onsite visits when needed.
