Job Description

About the Role

We're looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Customer Service Specialist to join our team in Southborough, MA . This full-time, on-site role supports our Sales department through order entry, client communication, and cross-functional coordination with Engineering, Production, and Accounting. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy solving problems while supporting customers, this could be a great fit.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving customer orders, reviewing documentation, entering orders and emailing customers with answers to questions and/or with order acknowledgements.
  • Working with Production Manager to expedite customer orders.
  • Support Sales team with ongoing communication with customers, distributors and representatives regarding order-related questions, price quotes and/or general order status.
  • Coordinate new customer set up including receiving credit approval from Accounting Department.
  • Keep accurate records and documenting customer interaction and discussions.
  • Work with Sales, Engineering, Production and Accounting Departments to facilitate documentation of the sales process from initial inquiry to final sale in accordance with ISO 9001 and AS9100 procedures.
  • Special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with on-line CRM.
  • Salesforce CRM, including adding accounts and contacts, creating quotes and notes a plus.
  • ERP system experience.
  • Sage50 experience a plus.
  • Excellent computer skills with knowledge of MS Office suite.
  • Must possess superior communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to exercise good judgment and tact when dealing with all inquiries and capable of working with individuals at all levels.
  • Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have the ability to support the team while working independently.
  • Must have the ability to meet deadlines in a timely manner.
  • Must be capable of handling multiple tasks at the same time.
