Leading Long Island (north shore, Nassau County) based wealth management firm seeks a recent college graduate or a candidate with up to two years of experience in the financial industry to support its investment team as a Junior Investment Analyst. We are a 42 year-old, growing, boutique private wealth management and multi-family office which provides investment management, asset allocation, estate planning, tax planning and other services to our clients.
The Junior Investment Analyst will assist our internal investment teams and portfolio managers by performing research on equities, fixed income, outside managers and hedge-funds, as well as analyzing private equity and real estate opportunities. They will interface with and support a highly focused, intellectual group of experienced professionals. The Junior Investment Analyst will provide accurate and timely information to assist our portfolio investment teams in their day to day decision making. They will monitor portfolio positions, review portfolio activity and have trading responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will be an intelligent, hard-working, detail oriented, self-starter who has experience working in a professional office environment and a working knowledge of the financial markets. Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment are also required. An undergraduate degree in business, finance or economics is preferred, but knowledge of and a passion for equity and fixed income markets and economics are a must.
