Job Title: Nursing Onboarding Specialist

Location: Pennypack, Northeast Philadelphia

Job Type: Temporary

Duration: 2 months

Department: Human Resources

Pay Rate : $25/hr. - $28/hr.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9 am- 5pm.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Temporary Nursing Onboarding Specialist to provide short-term support in coordinating and facilitating the onboarding and hiring process for newly hired nursing staff. This position plays a key role in ensuring that new RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and other clinical staff are well-prepared and integrated into the team is a short period of time. The ideal candidate has a background in efficiently onboarding new hires in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage the full onboarding process for new hires for the nursing department in a short period of time.
  • Serve as a point of contact for new employees during their onboarding period.
  • Track onboarding progress, collect required credentials, and maintain onboarding checklists.
  • Contant follow-ups with all new hires to complete pre-employment screenings, required documentation, and background checks that are required.
  • Schedule all new hires for orientation.
  • Address questions or challenges from new hires to support their success and retention.
  • Track onboarding tasks, documentation, and training completion within HRIS systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of I-9s, licenses, certifications, and background checks in compliance with regulations.
  • Gather feedback from new employees and recommend process improvements to enhance the onboarding experience.
  • Ensure consistent professionalism in all onboarding activities and communications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experienced in onboarding staff in healthcare, senior care, or a regulated industry
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Ability to transition new hires into the organization in a short period of time

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years of experience in onboarding, HR coordination, or employee relations
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in HRIS/ATS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in senior care, long-term care, or a CCRC environment
  • Proficiency in onboarding platforms.
  • Ability to start immediately or with short notice
