Job Description

Reliability Engineer

Salary: $75k - $110k

Shift: 8am-5pm, Mon - Fri

Primary Focus

This role centers on enhancing the performance, reliability, and efficiency of operational systems, equipment, and processes. It involves close collaboration across teams to implement strategies that reduce equipment failures, optimize maintenance activities, and support continuous improvement efforts.

Key Functions

  • Develop and integrate detailed equipment inspection routines into existing systems
  • Coach frontline personnel on conducting comprehensive inspections
  • Design and configure preventive maintenance checklists
  • Build and maintain component lists for equipment overhauls
  • Schedule equipment rebuilds based on operational hours
  • Provide hands-on training during mechanical rebuilds
  • Organize and facilitate technical training sessions
  • Support project teams with tasks related to facility development initiatives
  • Participate in root cause investigations and analysis
  • Propose and carry out system upgrades aimed at improving reliability
  • Join cross-functional planning discussions to align with site objectives and performance indicators
  • Standardize procedures for equipment calibration and setup
  • Implement component upgrades driven by supply constraints or technical advancements

Performance Indicators

  • Pinpoint opportunities for reliability enhancement
  • Show measurable impact in reducing downtime, increasing system uptime, and lowering maintenance costs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in engineering or a related technical field (mechanical, electrical, industrial, or systems)
  • 2–5 years of relevant hands-on experience
  • Advanced spreadsheet proficiency
  • Familiarity with enterprise systems like SAP or JDE is helpful
  • Background in a manufacturing or industrial setting is essential
  • Strong capabilities in troubleshooting, communication, planning, leadership, and analysis
