Description:

As a Warehouse Tech/Driver you will be working both in the warehouse and in the field. The warehouse responsibilities include equipment inventory, equipment check-in and check-out, and general warehouse cleaning, maintenance and upkeep in accordance with Advanced Productions standards. Off-site responsibilities include driving company vehicles for deliveries/pick-ups and simple field technician responsibilities. On-the-job training will be ongoing and promotion from within is encouraged. While this position is part-time, there is potential for it to transition into a full-time role based on performance, company needs, and demonstrated commitment.

Work hours will be based around a 3-day-per-week MWF schedule. This may vary from time to time depending on show site requirements for warehouse support. Some overtime may be required.

This position will require daily physical work, driving of company vans and trucks, and operation of forklifts and pallet jacks as needed.

Duties:

The duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Pull equipment to fill production orders.
  • Prepare outbound shipments to ensure accuracy of equipment load counts.
  • Help ensure proper loading and bracing is maintained on all vehicles.
  • Prepare manifests for all loads; copy and distribute manifests according to established company procedures.
  • Communicate and coordinate with all production leads to ensure that loads are released in a timely manner.
  • Inform production managers, show leads, or applicable staff of any load shortages and/or discrepancies in loads, prior to truck departure.
  • Help ensure proper handling and appropriate truck load practices on show site.
  • Inspect all inbound shipments to ensure accuracy of equipment counts and to check state of equipment; communicate any discrepancies.
  • Ensure that all products returning from a show site are properly received back in inventory and returned to the proper building storage areas.
  • Ensure returning products requiring additional quality inspection and/or repairs or refurbishing are delivered to the proper staging areas or repair facilities.
  • Pick-up and delivery of show equipment and/or cross-rented gear.
  • Distribute all warehouse documentation according to policy.
  • Conduct accurate, periodic inventories including tagging, counting, and documentation of warehouse inventory items as assigned.
  • Use EventPro and Order Entry computer programs in order to perform daily tasks.
  • Data entry in various computer programs, when workload permits.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.

Equipment & Inventory Management

  • 100% accuracy in pulling, staging, and returning equipment for orders.
  • Discrepancies identified, documented, and communicated before truck departure.
  • Inventory organized with minimal loss or misplacement of gear.

Event Success

  • Proper setup, operation, and strike of AV/production equipment in the field.
  • Completes field assignments with increasing technical proficiency.
  • Contributes to smooth event execution, earning positive feedback from show leads and clients.

Warehouse Operations & Maintenance

  • Warehouse consistently clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
  • Forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment operated properly.
  • Staging and storage systems maintained for efficient workflow.

Logistics & Transportation

  • Safe, timely deliveries and pick-ups using company vehicles.
  • Loads secured and manifests accurate to actual counts.
  • Zero preventable delays or transportation safety incidents.

Communication & Coordination

  • Timely communication with managers, leads, and staff regarding load counts, shortages, and issues.
  • Warehouse documentation completed and distributed on time.
  • Demonstrates teamwork and meets deadlines in high-pressure situations.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and to perform all independent duties in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work well with others on joint tasks.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, regularly lift loads of 30 lbs, and occasionally lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as load lists, safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures manuals.
  • Ability to safely drive a cargo van, sprinter, or similar vehicle.
  • Ability to operate a non-CDL 26-foot box truck, or willingness to be trained.
  • Familiarity with diesel vehicles (pertaining to fueling, preventative maintenance procedures, and operational safety guidelines), or willingness to learn.
  • Have a good driving record.
  • Ability to read and write legibly in English.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Possess a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Have a solid work history with a demonstrated track record of progressive career growth.
  • Ability to compose emails and prepare documents using Microsoft Outlook/Entourage and the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
